HOUSE OF TOMORROW
Client: Én til Én
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Status: In process
Today the municipalities are pressured to provide housing to the still growing flow of refugees coming to Denmark. The situations to find accommodation do not always consider the conditions of the housing for the refugees, and will often lead to a downgrade in the physical space.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
The building system is a modular system and can fairly easy be modified after construction. The resident's needs and requests can be accommodated in a larger scale, this helps to create a positive personal connection with the house as major changes in the resident's requests and need can be met.
The HOT-house is also flexible in the longer run. The houses can later on be combined to create larger buildings and be used for a school or an institution. The houses are founded on special pillars and can be moved without leaving a trace. The house is therefore less tied to its original function and site, and can be resold if the customer wants it.
