Located before security at Copenhagen Airport, ÅBEN’s new Bar & Eatery designed by Spacon & X acts as a versatile meeting spot.
A clear example of innovative Danish design, the space features a variety of zones. Guests can gather around meandering tables created to mimic the look of airport conveyor belts or settle in quiet booths for a more relaxed, intimate experience.
Sofas, bar stools and chairs offer flexible seating arrangements. The bar is partitioned by handcrafted panels created from leftover beer materials by Danish company Natural Material Studio.
Custom-made at our production facility in Sydhavn, the modular tables are made in solid ash wood on aluminium stands for both flexibility and durability. As for the color palette, the cream floor is complimented by Japanese tiles in warm orange hues.

Wooden elements in a rich, red-tinged linseed finish offer coziness while the contrasting bar counter design pays homage to airline trolleys and metallic suitcases. The metallic detailing is also a nod to ÅBEN’s local brewery, situated just 8 kilometers away from the airport in Copenhagen’s meatpacking district.
