Spacon & X conceived “NEURODANCE” as a pivotal installation and experience for LINTEX, a leading furniture manufacturer in the region. As part of the city’s renowned annual event, 3daysofdesign, the exhibition seeks to emulate “what happens in your brain when you are standing in front of the blank writing board with a marker in your hand.” On the path to redefining whiteboards, LINTEX works with Scandinavia’s leading designers seeking to challenge the image of what a writing board can be.
The exhibition NEURODANCE, designed and implemented by Spacon & X, will create a one-of-a-kind immersive experience for visitors to explore the feeling of standing in front of a whiteboard, at the moment just before creativity kicks in. Furthermore, we ensured 360-communication and narrative development for the exhibition and event.

The display seeks to break the idea of a line through imagining it beyond the white board and onto three-dimensional space. Echoing brain synapses, or connection points between neurons in a brain, the exhibition utilizes a complex and overlaid red string installation to recreate the brain’s creativity in a physical on-the-ground experience.
Mirroring the unpredictability of the creative process, the design encourages visitors to follow the red string path, even if at times the visitor must crawl to get to the next point of the store. Echoing different neuron strings, the strings are joined together by a hand-molded metal system injected into different points of the space. Ultimately, the installation encourages visitors to engage in a sensory experience and reimagine the multifaceted process of pure creativity.
